I took my wife to Daren't Valley A&E on Saturday 04/04/15 because she was suffering from an excruciating headache. She as recently been diagnosed with AML/MDS and is neutropenic. She was taken straight into a bed in A&E and given intravenous paracetamol &can intravenous anti-biotic. The A&E Doctor gave her a thorough examination & decided she would have to be an in-patient. She was then taken to a ward and given a side room because of her neutropenia. The doctors and nurses were all terrific and we cannot thank them enough. She is still in the hospital having ongoing treatment in liaison with Kings College Hospital where she has been having her main treatment for the AML/MDS. Once again I'd like to say we cannot thank the hospital staff enough.
