My nephew has been denied a bed in Manchester and was taken to this hospital in Bradford on March 6th on a section 2 . Iv tried for weeks to get him moved back to a hospital in Manchester as he is from Manchester with family in Manchester not Bradford !! Iv found the hospital is not informing me about my nephew and his illness . My nephew has lost weight and his mental health has gone so much worse now he is on a section 3 . The staff our nice but are over streched to care for the needs of all the service users . How do the nhs expect to put a vulrable poorly person miles away from family and friends to get better soon ? Some nurses are better than others , some are easy to understand ,others I found hard, so god knows how my nephew understands what he is being told . iv spent 4 weeks ringing everyone about a nhs mental health bed in Manchester . Manchester council is paying Bradford council a lot of money while they provide care for my nephew ? He could be treated at bupa for same fee . I don't have a problem with anyone at this hospital personally except my worry about when I can get my nephew back to a Manchester hospital As soon as possible . He needs his family
