About: Conquest Hospital

My daughter was admitted to the conquest from eastbourne dgh after having to find our own way we reached the hospital at midnight. And it all went down hill from there. The nurse used her as a pin cushion trying to take blood. Wasn't told anything just they were admitting her overnight for tests o. The morning. It is now 12.44 and we haven't heard a thing. No check to how she is. No doctor. They didn't even know we had been sent for scan! No offer of food or refreshment. I've never had a bad experience at hospital until now. This is our first time at the conquest and am not impressed

We are concerned to learn about your daughters recent attendance at the A&E department, Conquest Hospital and the poor communication that you describe, we apologise that this was poor. Please be assured that your posting has been forwarded to Lead Clinician and Management Staff within Urgent Care for review and appropriate action. It would be helpful if a representative could discuss what happened with you in more detail to enable staff to make further enquiries. If you are willing to do this, please contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) who will make these arrangements. PALS can be contacted on 01424 758090 or by email at esh-tr.PALSH@nhs.net. We hope that you feel able to make contact.
