I was admitted as an emergency, and so both me & my husband were unprepared and not a little worried. On the Medical Assessment ward, the staff ( and one particular doctor ) were very understanding, quickly got me through the admittance procedure, and reassured both of us that we would be sorted out. I was soon moved to the Winstanley Ward, where I found all the staff ( including some volunteers ) extremely kind and caring, and carrying out their duties efficiently while still maintaining a friendly and approachable manner. Overall, iI was fearing the worst from all the bad coverage of the NHS in the media, but can honestly say that I would recommend these two wards and all their staff, from lowest to highest, to be just what you would wish for in a hospital.
