I recently had a general anaesthetic, to remove abnormals cells from my cervix. I can't thank all the staff that cared for me enough, I received wonderful care and aftercare. I'm 25 and required this treatment after my first smear test, I was extremely anxious & scared but each member of staff I had contact with made me feel calm and fully informed and involved with my treatment. The colposcopy department were fantastic all the staff were lovely and made me feel at ease, and fully explained everything to me. I called the colposcopy department a couple weeks after my surgery as I had some concerns, the lady I spoke to was so nice and helpful, I was really worried, it turned out that all my concerns were normal, she explained everything to me fully, and didn't make me feel stupid having these questions and was only to happy to help. I would like to thank all the staff involved in my treament from the HCAs/ nurses through to the team the preformed my surgery. I feel that should any of my friends and family need the same treatment, they would be in good hands and would be treated well.
