I have never written a review of anything before however, I feel so strongly about the treatment of my partner I feel I must make others aware of this issue!! My partner has a history of abnormal cells and has twice had procedures to remove them, the last one being May last year which was a CIN2. She moved up Leicester and went for a smear test however, whilst there it was decided to carry out a colposcopy biopsy due to more abnormalities yet again. We were told results in 4-5 weeks. That was on 2nd December 2014. She has made a phone calls every week since week 4 and has been told on numerous occasions that if it was anything serious she would have heard something as a matter of urgency. Today is 26th February, over 12 weeks since the test. She has made her weekly phone call this afternoon to be told that a letter has been sent to the hospital coordinator as she requires treatment again and that she couldn't discuss things further. My partner is absolutely distraught, 12 weeks is a considerable amount of time for someone with her history if there are once again serious abnormalities. We had (wrongly) assumed it would be good news this time due to the length of time we have waited and also after being give reassurance by staff that "no new is good news" I suppose. I am absolutely disgusted by this, the stress of waiting for the results was bad enough for her however, todays news has been a complete kick in the teeth and she has left work to go home due to this news. I would appreciate it if someone can comment on here please advising how I take this issue further?
