I had a THR of my right hip six days ago (Mon 2nd Feb 2015) and was discharged two days later. Like many who face such an operation, I was deeply apprehensive about the process and possible outcomes, so I'm happy to say that my experience at Wrightington cannot be faulted on any count. The treatment was superb (thank you so much, the doctor and his team), the level of care outstanding and I was consulted about my wishes and views at every step along the way (no pun intended). Post-op, I stayed on Ward 6, which is staffed by the most highly professional, concerned and compassionate group of people I have encountered in many years. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they carried out their duties with grace and good humour at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Wrightington to anybody - the place is a model of what the NHS should be. Thank you again, everyone, for all that you did for me. Long may you continue.
