"Hopefully this good work will continue"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Geriatric Assessment

(as a relative),

Ayr Hospital Elderly Mental Health Liaison Team

I would just like to thank Heather Kerr and her team at Ayrshire & Arran for the help and dedicated care they gave to my mum when she was in Ayr Hospital. There is now a lot more communication between mental health teams, medical teams and families which I personally have found much more reassuring and helpful. The staff in St 14 were also excellent in the care given to mum - and in my mind that is also because of the communication between mental health teams and medical teams now. It was very difficult in the past to get this type of help. Hopefully this good work will continue and be recognised by the public more.

Dear gingernut,

Thank you so much for sharing your appreciation of the the way in which the Elderly Mental Health Liaison Team and the Station 14 staff have worked so well together for the benefit of your Mum and your family. It is pleasing to hear that Heather and her team are making a difference in ensuring good communication with the patient, family and care team is at the forefront of all they do. I'll pass on to the liaison team and Station 14 your sentiments.

Kind Regards.

Andy
