My waters broke on 21/01/2015 at 4am, I phoned the triage ward, spoke to a midwife who was really helpful and asked me to come in for a checkup I went and was seen to straight away. Apparently mine & my baby's pulse rate was a bit slow, I was given a choice of whether I would like to stay at the hospital or whether I would like to go home & come I chose to stay. I was then transferred to the anti natal ward where I was monitored regularly throughout the whole day. Once again the baby's pulse rate was slow and the midwife was concerned, due to this I was transferred to the labour ward at 9pm. The midwife I had in the labour ward was outstanding she encouraged and supported me throughout as I was in a lot of pain. I also had other members of staff, (Two student and two consultants), Each and everyone provided an outstanding service I am really touched. My midwife did well more then she needed to as she went out of her way to support me, I had beautiful baby boy at 12.41am. My family & I just wanted to say a massive thanks to my midwife and rest of maternity staff for all their hard work and efforts, they have the hardest job in the world yet they do it so well, you guys are amazing people once again thanks ever so much for everything you guys have done for me.
"Outstanding maternity staff"
