We bought a maternity pass and haven't been able to use it. Hopefully local residents will be used to it but we had to park on a nearby(ish) street a few times now. Even though we arrive early and drive around a couple of times, there is nowhere to park. This is particularly problematic for a heavily pregnant woman with PGP and high blood pressure. I'm certain that this will be the biggest complaint but unless we get two different buses which isn't ideal either with these conditions, there's no other way of getting to the hospital than by car. On labour day, we'll be paying for an expensive taxi rather than having the stress of trying to park. On the plus side, all the staff in the maternity unit have been excellent. Our only minor gripe would be that different consultants give us different opinions and don't seem able to reach a consensus!
"Excellent staff; terrible parking!"
