"Maternity services"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

I found the ante natal care excellent when I went in to be induced, I had several midwives in the 12 hours I was in the delivery suite and found them all personable. Unfortunately they didn't take a holistic approach at my care and I felt rather judged. I had a traumatic delivery resulting in complications for me and my Baby. Once the baby was born there wasn't a midwife to be seen, considering my l and d had been highly medicalised and my baby was in special care for a bit I felt rather abandoned. I was left on my own once my baby had been checked over for 7 hours, bleeding heavily and not sure how to feed a newborn either. I kept pressing the bell and was told they were busy.
