"Overall Very Good Experience"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My Son was admitted due to convulsions through Emergency care to the hospital. He was initially in A&E, then in Ward 9 and then in Ward 10. Honestly need to appreciate every one of the staff right from the first Emergency Services Staff who came over to the last smiling staff, who said Good Bye and Merry Christmas. Not a single one could have been faulted, as every one were so nice! You are doing a fabulous service, and each and everyone needs a pat on your back! However, we do have concerns on the waiting times we have been advised for our son to receive an MRI scan and EEG. We have been given a waiting time of 8 weeks, which I think is too much a waiting time, as well as we have an upcoming trip abroad, which we definitely need to take. If something could be done to accommodate this, and fast track this, it would be five stars all across!!

Dear Shriram, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really pleased to hear how well your son was cared for at the Royal. Your feedback is much appreciated and has been shared with the teams involved in your son's care. If you would like to send your son's details to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk, we can see if there is anything we can do to reduce the waiting time, but please bear in mind that we are currently experiencing very high numbers of emergency admissions at the moment. We hope you and your family had a good Christmas :) Kind regards, Communications team, Leicester's Hospitals
