Just spent a few weeks on the acute ward. There was one patient freely making threats of physical violence to patients and issuing constant vile comments directly to and about fellow patients - even a threat of raping a patient's partner. On two occasions he assaulted patients, but despite complaints by patients he was left to carry on. At the earliest opportunity I walked off the ward explaining my reason when I was forced to return after a week at home that I didn't feel safe on the ward. Still no action was taken by the staff.I really don't know what the Harplands thinks it is providing patients with: safety, security, therapy? None of those things.
