I was referred by my GP for neck and shoulder pain, resulting in numb fingers and diagnosed after X-Rays & MRI scan with a trapped nerve between my C6 and C7 vertebrae. That was 1 year ago. So far I've seen 4 consultants, the last of which has established the treatment I need. I was advised by my consultants to speed up my treatment by going private, which I have been, by seeing my local chiropractor. Also was told to complain to the hospital or go to my MP to speed up my treatment. The consultants are as disillusioned as I am with the poor service. Have heard on the news that these services may go to Bupa, but this still doesn't help my situation or I'm sure countless other NHS patients who find themselves in this extremely frustrating situation.
