I was admitted. the day prior to my operation, having diagnosed with a brain tumour. Being very nervous about the whole situation and feeling a certain amount of isolation, living nearly 100 miles from Edinburgh, I found all members of staff to be very caring even when they were rushed off their feet - a very frequent thing! On the day of my op my nerves were all over the place but at the same time I felt secure in the knowledge I was about to receive the very best care. Indeed I did so and despite requiring a 2nd op 5 days later I can cannot stress too much how well I was looked after. The building its-self may be old but the attitudes & abilities of the staff are modern but patient friendly! Thank you all in DCN.
