Called an ambulance at 12.15am as I thought I was having a heart attack. The service rang back to reassure me that they were on their way and checked me. The ambulance arrived in a few minutes and I was treated and checked by a brilliant crew before being taken to the RLI. The Drs and Nurses in A&E were really good with myself and my family, also were cheerful (This helps a lot) when it looked as though my heart was okay. I was transferred to ACU and there it was the same. Constant attention and treatment all night and the next day. Checked by the discharge dept and the Chaplain who was calling round. He has suffered the same as me and was reassuring. I had to wait for a specific blood test to confirm the that my heart was okay, and despite my constant requests to go home, the nurses and doctors were cheerful. No staff shortage and they had lots of patience. i had severe problems with the care of a friend in ACU several years ago, but this new ward and staff were light years better. Thanks a lot to all.
