I attended A&E recently, after advice from my GP, that if the pain I am suffering persisted, increased or radiated down my leg/legs, I was to go to A&E.
On arrival, I was seen by a junior Dr in triage, I explained that I had underwent a discectomy in my lower back in 2012 and was due to undergo another discectomy soon in my neck.
I explained that, I had been off of work for 3 weeks and had been seen by my GP and that I had been prescribed pain killers and had been advised to visit A&E if my situation got worse.
The Junior Dr advised my that I would be going to the X-Ray department for investigation.
The Junior Dr then consulted an orthopaedic specialist, soon after I was discharged with out having been x-ray'd/scanned or having spoken to the orthopaedic specialist with the advice that I should see my GP.
I am still off of work and am currently waiting for my GP to contact me.
