i took my husband in A/E on the day about at about 5pm on s Sunday. In the end his injury was not that severe, he had had a piece of broken glass go through his shoe whilst out running, but the bleeding was profuse initially. He was seen strainght away by the specialist nurse practitioner, she sorted him out, sent him to xray etc, all done within 2 hours. We know A/E are under pressure from reduced funding and poor staffing but our experience was so encouraging in these difficult times when the 'N" is being taken out of our heatlh service. My husband is out of work at the moment so glad we did not have to think about whether our insurance premium with cover. Just the parking charges.
