Had my gall bladder out at chase farm on in October.
Dosa ward was excellent couldn't fault the staff or the care. All pre op prep was done with no fuss staff were friendly nice and professional
Was cheerfully waved off to surgery with a "have a nice op" which made me laugh. Anaesthetic nurse was fabulous and chatted away taking my mind of things
So thanks dosa staff you were amazing
Sadly Wellington ward post op was horrific. I had a bad reaction to morphine couldn't see straight and was trying not to pass out. Got told off by the nurse for not getting out of bed even though everything was going grey and spinning. Was told was making a fuss!
I suspect but of course cannot prove that it was homophobia - who is fetching you? My wife. Who? My wife. a friend? My wife. Oh a friend. Then everyone got tea or water except me ditto pain relief ditto canula taken out
And the attitude was very negative.
I really felt I was in the way and was so pleased to get out and go home.
Such a shame as being polite and friendly costs nothing but means so much when you are feeling vulnerable.
