I entered the hospital at approximately 1800 hours on Saturday 20th of September. My throat had swollen closed and I had difficulty communicating. I had to wait at the reception to speak to someone as it was left unattended. I was asked several questions even though I couldn't talk and was visibly distressed. The receptionist told me that it was nothing more than a sore throat and showed little compassion and made it seam like I was some sort of burden on him. I left after he told me I would need to wait nearly 3 hours to see someone and I went to cheltenham general where I was seen in less than half an hour and put straight on to a triage ward where I was treated with dignity and respect by the emergency doctor and nurses I was eventually transferred to Gloucester royal to the ent speciallist and was fantastic. In short I have lived in Tewkesbury all my life and sadly will never use the hospital there again.
"Dissapointed"
