"Ward 31 following bowel surgery"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

I have recently spent time in ward 31 following bowel surgery. As a fairly anxious patient I have to put on record the superb level of care I have received. Firstly the consultants are of the highest level. Their skills were blatantly obvious and I was treat with respect and honesty throughout the whole process. Clare Phillips went way beyond the call of duty to my anxiety and is an absolute angel of the NHS. Thank you. Once transferred to Ward 31, I was given an extremely high level of care and attention. Without exception their a was to get me better and they did everything in their powers, without exception, to ensure that I'm now on the mend. Even when I felt things were going too fast I realised that they were only acting in my best interests. However they respected my wishes and did slow down "a little". I realise that they have to follow procedures but they did so both effectively and efficiently. The Sister was especially sympathetic towards my anxiety and I realise that I may not have been "the perfect patient". In leaving today with nothing but high regard for this team. Thank you. x
