Initally I had a problem with the referral being arranged with the podiatry department, so I gave the department a call myself and the appointment arrived within about a week. The podiatrist I saw was very pleasant, introduced herself and explained her role within the rheumatology dept. At no time did I feel rushed / not being listened to or involved. She identified the areas for concern, examined my feet & ankles with care & consideration, she explained why pain etc. Was being experienced. We mutually discussed what remedies could be provided. She arranged for me to have some insoles and referral to community chiropody. She has made the department very accessible to me & invited me to ring back if I had any problems. I left the appointment feeling very impressed. I felt that the podiatrist I saw was very capable / professional and had alovely manner with patients. She's is in the right job, thank you!
