My 84 year old father has just left Leigh Ward after a stay of 2.5 weeks. He was admitted after being knocked down by a car and had broken ankle, heel and lots of bruising and cuts. The care he received from the nurses was amazing and so caring. When your father has gone through such an experience it was wonderful to feel confident he was in safe hands. There is a lovely atmosphere on the ward which I am convinced helps the morale of the patient and their healing process. Everyone from the staff who bring food and drinks, the nurses who tended to his needs, the physio, the OT girls were an example of going that extra mile. It is the best service I have seen from NHS for long . If it had one criticism sometimes the communication breaks down, but considering the restraints they work under I think they do a great job. All my questions were answered Well done everyone
"Leigh ward - thank you to all the staff"
