I've been in hospital for 3 days with ma sis I just cant believe what nurses have to go through. Instead of looking after patients and assisting them with their needs their made to bodyguard patients with serious behaviour problem. There's a patient who's disturbing every other person on the ward climbing on beds going through their belongings getting under other beds banging doors the works no disrespect to the patient but it is the hospitals or even the nhs duty to have separate departments for detox patient... we have a nurse who extremely hardworking and caring but throughout the night shz been guarding this 1 patient from causing danger to herself and others I cant believe there is nothing the hospital can do how can 1 nurse be 2 locations at the same time...the teamwork between the staff is ridiculous we 1 in 10 who wants to do their job from the heart and then we have the rest who cant be bothered. The Nhs Really need to get their act together and do somthing about this and from what I can see this is not new to staff. People with specific requirements and 24hr attention should be allocated a single person for them only, if not a safer more practical place for them and others.
"what nurses really deal with..."
