I went for a blood test at Charing Cross on 29th May and found it painful. I have had numerous blood tests before and have never found them to hurt. For the rest of the day I found it painful to bend my arm. I woke up the next day with an enormous series of bruises from halfway up by forearm to halfway up my bicep. These continued to get worse for three days and are now subsiding as I write this on 3rd June. My arm is still very painful to bend and as a result of this I have found it painful to work and have not been able to use the gym. I went to see my GP about this today who said it looked as if i had 'been in a car crash' and has had to prescribe me a course of amoxicillin to prevent infection. He said that this was extremely rare. I would like a member of the NHS to contact me regarding this so that I can send in a photograph to illustrate the severity of the bruising, and so that I can receive an apology. I am very upset and disappointed by the service I received which was clearly sub-standard. I am also worried for any other patients who may have had this nurse after me that day.
"Very poor blood test"
