On Bank Holiday Monday 25/8/14 feeling breathless and Dizzy I phoned 111 and they arranged an appointment at Worcestershire Royal out of hours for 12.30pm. I received a phone call from The Hospital asking me to come straight away.I was promptly seen by a doctor who was of the opinion I had a Heart Block and sent me to A&E Triage and they then sent me to The Medical Assessment Unit. After being monitored during the night I was told morning 26th Aug that I needed a Pacemaker and that they would operate within next few hours. The Pacemaker was fitted and I spent the night in Coronary Care and was discharged 27th Aug. From start to finish I have nothing but praise for all the staff including the porters from out of hrs to A&E to MAU to Coronary Care and the surgeon and his Theatre Team. All were re-assuring, caring, friendly and explained everything in simple terms I could understand. Thank you
"Pacemaker"
