We recently visited the maternity unit for the birth of our baby son. I can't thank the staff enough for the care they gave us. All of the staff were kind and patient and took the time to answer our questions and explain everything that was happening to put us at ease. All the money in the world couldn't have paid for better treatment. If you are having a baby in the north east then please have it at the RVI, you couldn't be in safer of kinder hands.

Thank you very much for the kind comments you posted on the NHS Choices Website with respect to your positive birth experience, we very much appreciate the kind feedback. We endeavour always to provide this high level of care to women accessing our maternity service; this also includes active involvement of partners and families in such an important life event. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you once again for the positive reinforcement of our Maternity Service at the RVI. Our staff are happy to know we have touched your lives in such a positive way.
