I went in hospital with Pneumonia. Day 1 - was told that my Warfarin would be ready when I got back from x-ray. When I got back I said to the nurse I don't have Warfarin, she looked at her notes and replied, I apologise there has been a mistake. I replied what if I wasn't in sound mind and had taken it something could have happened, and also what about all the other patients that are laid up in bed. Day 2 - Nurse came in and showed me drug chart notes. At the top was another patient's name which had been crossed out and my name written over it.. On the first page Warfarin was written up. I said why have I got another patient's notes, these notes were quickly changed and a new chart written up in my name. Also on Day 2, consultant came round and I had been started on penicillin through a canular, he said he didn't want me on this. I said Day 2 and another mistake. I had a Picc line inserted and one of my drugs was through a drip which took around 20 minutes. On several occasions I was left for over an hour waiting for them to take me off the drip and on one occasion it was 2 hours which made me very stressed. I became so scared I started to have panic attacks because I was frightened that I would be given a wrong drug.
"Very unsatisfied"
