What could be improved
I have always had a high opinion of MMH, but after my experience with scanning, I have changed my mind.
had a Nuchal Scan at 12 weeks and was told that my baby had no nasal bone and was at high risk of downs syndrome, I was offered an amniocenticis (a major invasive test) with a 1 in 100 chance of miscarriage or wait a further 10 weeks for another scan. I went home extremely worried and upset and terrified of what was wrong with my baby. The next day I had a private scan and blood test and was told in no uncertain terms that the nasal bone WAS present and that my risk was incredibly low. I was so relieved, but at the same time so angry after what MMH had put me through. I urge everyone to get a 2nd opinion if you are informed of any abnormailities on the scan immediately, as I could have had a risky procedure and it would have been totally unecessary.
"I have always had a high opinion ..."
