"I have had treatment at Manchester Eye Hospital for several years. Following laser treatment to both eyes I had bleeding (Posterior Vitreous Detachment). I lost three quarters of the sight in my right eye. The eye hospital were aware of this, and agreed that it was bleeding caused by P. V. D.
I went to the opticians to get new glasses on in late March 2014 and the optician made me an emergency appointment for that afternoon as she was worried that my retina was detaching. I was seen at the Eye Hospital that afternoon and the consultant agreed that it was a stable detachment. He said that he would make me an appointment to be seen in two weeks. By mid June I had heard nothing at all from the Eye Hospital. That’s 13 weeks.
Also when they do send letters they are not in large print and are hard to read."
