I would like to bring to your attention the care my wife received when we attended the A/E dept on Sunday evening 8/06/14.She was suffering with an acute kidney and bladder infection which was not responding to the antibiotics prescribed by her GP.She was seen immediately and all the required examinations and investigations were carried out efficently and quickly. We went home that night and advised to return early the following morning for a CT scan.Upon arrival at 07=30Hrs Monday morning she was seen straight away by a very helpful triage sister. The same A/E doctor who had treated my wife was still on duty and he again looked after her professionally. She had a CT scan and antibiotics via a drip. Culture results had come back from the lab which indicated the infection she had was resiliant to the well known antibiotics.Having been prescribed a suitable alternative we were able to go home. I am aware of all the recent bad press that the hospital has suffered of late but I can not speak highly enough of the treatment my wife received from all the A/E team working 8/6/-9/6/14 they should be commended. In the past we have received poorer treatment as a private patient at various BUPA hospitals. Regards, Kevin
