My 13 year old daughter is diabetic and became poorly with high blood sugars and ketones. I took her to A&E and we were seen immediately by a nurse who took her to a cubicle. The doctors and a nurse were absolutely fantastic. She received one on one care and was thoroughly investigated for any further complaints as she was in so much pain. She was only transferred to a ward when well enough to do so and was given a private room due to the pain she was in. The wonderful care continued until she was discharged the following day with the hospital catering for her coeliac dietary needs. The care we received was on a par with that we received at Birmingham children's hospital previously. Thank you truly for the care we received.
