My wife and newly born daughter shall leave the hosptal tomorrow and never return. After a nine hour delay for induction, injuries caused by staff during a poorly judged labour led by the doctor, were missed by staff, later resulting in my daughter being placed in intensive care. I would add the injuries were spotted but not deemed serious by all bar one nurse who thankfully took action. The general cleanliness and hospital environment is very bad and midwifes are on the whole abrasive, have shocking bedside manner and fill you with little or no confidence, one member of staff on Murray Ward springs to mind who removed propess early induction amongst many extremely questionable actions. The postnatal ward is horrific, dirty and during evenings the loudest thing are the staff. Cleanliness seems a real issue, broken water coolers with standing water, cleaners using single mops to clean everything on the ward. I am taking this matter much further but would encourage all to avoid.
