"Emergency Admission"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I was recently taken ill and attended the walk in center in turner road. I was seen by a very efficient and caring Nurse Practitioner who got right to the root of the problem and arranged admission to the Emergency Assessment Unit. They confirmed her diagnosis (acute cholecystitis) and treatment was started immediately. I was then moved to Wivenhoe ward where the staff there continued with the treatment until I was discharged. An operation is now required, but I now have no qualms regarding this OP. The staff and Doctors in each place were brilliant.
