My husband has finally escaped from ward 29. During his stay which was nearly 5 weeks he found that he had numerous scans, dressing changes and operations cancelled, and alot was to do with lack of comunication between departments. He was finally discharged today after having a TEO cancelled each day from Monday. So from sunday each night he was nil by mouth and each afternoon they said he was not having the TEO. By yesterday I had had enough complained and was assured if he didnt have it today he would be released and could have it as an out patient. And guess what he never had the TEO today and they wanted to try again tomorrow. No wonder they are short of beds. On phoning the consultants secretary she was under the impression my husband had been released the previous week. What on earth happened to communicated. This hospital need sorting out
