I went to the hospital for two different things some years ago. The first time it was about my bowl. The doctor was around the first time and did not give lots of information. They did superficial examination. I had to see him another time but he was not around when I had the appointment. I also lost money because I tried to finance myself with low paid casual work which I can only do when I am free all day. I was always waiting several hours to bee seen. I lost money going to lots of appointments without any process. When the doctor was not around the nurse just decided that I need a colonoscopy and gave me tablets that empty my bowls. Next time I saw the doctor skipping work again I waited freezing just in a hospital gown for several hours. He suddenly said it is not necessary to have a colonoscopy and did not understand what tablets I took. I was just too angry to think straight. I thought it was very unprofessional giving me unnecessary medication and not recording it anywhere. The other time it was the breat surgery. I already found it very embarassing being examined at all especially by male doctor. I had been for that to several doctors and they could not help me to operate on a caused infected wound. Some tried something and others completely refused. I went previously to a private doctor. It was already expensive to see him. He explained it needs to be a proper operation with cutting out the infected injured area and then stitch it. He said Barnet Hospital will do it talking about the NHS. Private would be far too expensive for someone with a low or no income. The breast surgeon knew about all this but refused to give me the operation I wanted. He even claimed in his letter that I did not want it. I came for it in the first place. He treated it as an eczema like the last doctors who gave me lots of cocktails. I took all the stuff again but did not tell me to take that long that I get rashes again. It took ages until I saw the other doctor again who needed to do a very brutal biopsy. They then found that where was infected lump that stopped the healing and caused infections. I thought when I get a biopsy earlier I would be able to have an operation earlier. But no, I had to wait 3 months meanwhile it was more painful and infected than before. I had finally the operation but it got infected and desolved the stitches and my GP's and nurses in St Albans (who were very caring by the way) tried to contact the doctor who did not answer their calls. To explain the situation they took off the dressing and floods of blood came out. They had a rescue team of 3 they called together quickly including at least one GP. I could have died. I had to rearrange a follow-up appointment myself. The nurses already started stuffing the open wound with special dressings. It took about 6 months to close and more than 1 year to feel normal again without pain. Counting all the wrong treatment I have received it took 8 years to get the correct operation.
