Bolton Hospital is discussing....Stroke ward....One of the patients defecated all round the toilet and it was not cleaned up properly, my poor husbands bed is right next to the toilet and the smell is horrible. It makes me laugh.... all visitors have got to was their hand before they enter the ward, the problem for germs and infections are with the patients not the visitors. I had to come home and have shower, you go in with a stroke but you will come out with all sorts of bugs...I was sat at my husbands bedside, I looked down to the floor..... in the path of the toilet, and saw faeces on the floor, when they try to clean the toilet they dropped some just outside the toilet, I called the nurse to clean the floor. This patient was moved from this ward after two days, what has he left behind.... I do hope he can come tomorrow, he wants to discharge himself if they don't. He has problem sleeping its very noisy, especially when they bring in a new patient during the night they turn on the main lights and wake everyone up.
