"is a disgrace to the name it bares"

The only reason I and many of my aquaintances even use this hospital is locality and convenience. However even convenience is questionable. For a person who depends upon regular treatment this is probably the least convenient hospital it has ever been my misfortune to rely upon. It is almost as if the administrators put making a profit before anything else.. oh wait this is national health umm they are not supposed to make profits are they. Oh no its a branch of the system.. they can charge what they want but if like me you have to visit the hospital repeatedly and for long periods daily it becomes financially restrictive just attending. All the facilities are provided by outside sourcing and all are hugely inflated prices. car parking costs £4.50 daily, a snack sandwich and drink costs over £5.00 and forbid it if I want to buy a coffee in the over rated Marks and Spencers coffee bar. of course there are other service provisions that have inflated cost to the "captive audience" couple all this with exceptionally poor staffing, 24 rings of the phone for the operator.. "yes the human operator" to even deign to reply department not even having operator/receptionists to reply at all. I am sorry but it seems the streamlining of the NHS as a whole has in fact significantly reduced efficiency in the service, decreased the nature of the service provided and in short does not fulfil its mandate. Do not get me wrong the medical staff do what they can within the limits of those who control the bugets.. What I am saying is those who control the millions of pounds provided them each year for the health care of the community see much more concerned with ensuring they continue to build their own little administrative empires to the detriment of the service the are supposed to provide.
