What I liked
my son was admitted to the childrens ward directly from A&E with a very rare condition that was diagnosed within 2 hours of admission, (i have since heard of someone else in another area where it took 2weeks to diagnose the same condition). My son was treated very promptly during the night with superb follow up. The Dr's were amazing, the nurses on the childrens ward were wonderful and the facilites were brilliant, my son actually wanted to come back just to visit, they treated him so well!
What could be improved
nothing
Anything else?
The staff were so thoughtful, my son was given a simple little teddy bear when he was upset, which he named Maggie after the nurse that looked after him and he still says, when he's sick, that he needs Maggie! I think children speak the truth and perhaps other people should think more about what a service they are actually getting rather than just complaining all the time, try looking at the good. We have a very good service in the NHS, yes it's not perfect but it's a darn site better than what you'd get in many other countries!
