Suffering from a tightness in my chest I consulted by GP on December 18, 2013, very close to the Christmas break. I was referred for an exercise ECG on January 2 at Worthing Hospital, for an Angiogram three weeks later and had an Angioplasty involving the insertion of a stent in a heart artery on February 26. It was my first experience (age 69) of an NHS operation and I was truly impressed by the speed of delivery by the Cardiac Unit and the subsequent follow-up service by the Cardiac Rehab Service. Heartening (no pun intended) that after years on a company private health care insurance system, I find the NHS is at least as quick in delivering its service.
"Speed of service delivery"
