I arrived at your Accident and Emergency dept on a Saturday in mid Feb feeling extremely ill. I am so glad that I was greeted by a very compassionate and extremely experienced A&E nurse. Having been fobbed off by my 3 doctors at my GP surgery during the previous week, and by the people that man the 111 line, I had my faith in the NHS restored by this nurse. As soon as she looked at me she realised how ill I was and took complete control and I am so grateful. Good old fashioned nursing, she did not need any kind of device to tell her that I was not in a good way! And thank goodness, I thought I was going to die! Thankfully I am here and just want to say how grateful I am. The NHS needs to invest the health professionals that take such great care of us. I am sorry to say that it is incredibly inconsistent. Thank you to that nurse: you are a credit to your profession. I hope your Nursing Director gets to read this and gives you a big thank you. Anyway a card and chocs are on the way as a small token of my gratitude. Sincere thanks. Michelle Morris
