What I liked
My daughter (10 months old)was admitted at about 10.30pm after being transferred form another hosp
She recieved the best care EVER she was taken to ward 10 and her named nurse was fabulous I never got the chance to thank her as she wasnt on for the rest of my daughters stay,
The surgeon was equally fantastic, he explained everything that was wrong wth her and what they were going to do to fix the prob, he even had to phone docs out of their beds to operate on my baby, the rest of the nursing staff who looked after her for the next 4 days was truely brilliant, I never felt like I was being looked down upon with any of my concerns and my daughter was treated with respect and proper care, and was never neglected even though the nursing staff were so busy.
Even the head housekeeper that was on the ward all day everyday was brilliant she showed me round the ward and where to find everything I would need during our stay
A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO THEM ALL
What could be improved
They should have more nurses to cover night shifts as they had to close the ward on the friday night and we had to move across the hall to ward 11 due to shortages and illnesses
Anything else?
I would recommend this childrens ward to anyone that was looking for a good hospital
