Prior to my stay in the QE I was in the Freeman in Newcastle for a different reason, the differences were massive, at the Freeman I was given very little information, my medication were either not given or were altered by the staff there, the meals were dreadful and respect/dignity was virtually none existant. While at the QE everything was explained, I felt like I was included in all the steps of my treatment, the food was very good. The Doctor and his team were very informative and actually listened to what I was saying. I felt like a person in the QE as opposed to a statistic at the Freeman. I cannot reccommend the QE highly enough it is an excellent hospital.
