What I liked
I liked the excellent professional medical staff, the consultant and nurse, who involved me in the procedure and treated me as an intelligent participant.
What could be improved
Some of the anciliary admin staff in the reception area are locked in a time warp of 50 years ago, believing that the hospital is there to employ them, not to treat patients. I took out a pocket calculator to do some work and was pounced on within seconds and told not to use my mobile phone (sigh). It is a sign of attitude. When I asked, 45 minutes after the time of my appointment, how long the delay would be, there was palpable amazement that a patient might want to know such things. On the appointment letter, it says people will be informed if there are delays. Not at Knutsford they aren't. It is reasonable to want to know, it is reasonable to ask politely and it is unreasonable to be brushed off.
