On 16th December 2013 I came into Cannock Hospital for a total hip replacement. Being terrified doesn't cover how I felt but right from the start the staff, my consultant and everyone else dealing with me were kind, caring and extremely professional. The treatment I received was second to none. I came home on 19th December 2013 and, of course, things were difficult but after doing everything I was told - especially by the physiotherapists - I'm delighted to report that on Friday 24th January 2014 (just under 6 weeks since operation) the consultant gave me the all clear and doesn't want to see me until November! I am pain free, walking upright and not limping for the first time in over 12 months, wonderful. The only thing I can complain about with this hospital is the food which was really bad and must be sorted out by the powers that be. It is upsetting to think that this fantastic place is under threat. I would have no hesitation electing to come here again should I need to.
