The process from triage to admission seemed rather long (11 hours) and dis-organised, especially in view of the fact that my arrival at A&E had been pre-advised and I was already expected by MaxFax. Once admitted into SSIP, though, I have nothing but the highest praise for all medical and other support staff in terms of support, assistance, explanations and decision-sharing. It would be useful if the staff ( of all categories) could learn how to shut the door when they leave the patient's room in order to respect privacy, especially for those who may be bedbound!
