On two occasions I've encountered rude staff from the Antenatal reception 'level 5' desk. Todays staff member asked if she could help (in a round about way) and before I could respond she continued chatting to her colleagues. The staff member before this couldn't construct a clear sentence and was incapable of responding thereafter. In my experience, the staff on this desk (a) don't behave professionally, (b) have bad attitudes, (c) are incredibly unhelpful, (d) don't maintain good communication skills and (e) slouch. The Antenatal reception staff from level 5 should job shadow the wonderful lady based in the community midwife division across the way. This is an incredibly busy department, she's amazing and works her socks off. Over the years I've encountered many wonderful and incredibly hardworking people at the Whittington. It can sometimes take one person or small group of jobsworths to change a good experience in to a bad one and it's really unfair on those people that provide a great service.
