My daughter (17) was treated initially in A and E then subsequently on Skylark ward. She had glandular fever and tonsillitis which culminated in an emergency tonsillectomy. She was very poorly indeed. I cannot stress enough how awe inspiringly terrific the care, treatment and attention she received was. Nursing staff top notch. Doctors top notch. They pulled out all the stops on a Friday afternoon to operate on my daughter. I doubt very much that in the six days my daughter was in hospital, we could have received better care anywhere else in the world and within this statement I also include private care. Proud of the NHS is an understatement.
"The best care imaginable."
