I went into hospital to have a kidney stone removed. I went to the Elective Admissions Lounge initially, all of the staff there were really lovely and reassuring, it was clean and a relaxing place before going for your operation/procedure. The recovery room was also very clean and the staff were very attentive and helpful. I feel these staff very often get overlooked, as a lot of people do not remember being in the recovery room so clearly. But the do deserve to be acknowledged and thanked. The ward was in the old part of the hospital, so it looks a bit more 'tired', but the staff there were also very good. My only issue, was the lack of information regarding the after/side effects of the treatment that I received. It would have been helpful, if I had been told what to expect before I went into hospital so that I could have been better prepared.
"Good experience"
