Anything else?
Attended A&E with my Father who has Cancer, his skin is covered in boils which are popping and bleeding and need tending to daily, but have not been seen to at home visits due to a cock up at the GP he is registered with. Informed that he would not been seen for 4-hours plus, despite the pain he was in and the need to have dressings of infected wounds all over his body. Told to go to the Out of Hours service next door in the Maternity block for them to say that they were unprepared to treat him as they did not have suitable dressings and it was really just a GP service. They told us to go back home and wait for the nurse home visit which was failing to show so frequently. As far as I am concerned, and as an employee of the Trust in a clinical area, the Hospital failed him as a Cancer Patient, by not seeing him, not even examining him and claiming that they do not have suitable dressings for him which I know are just a few minutes walk away in A&E. Utter disgrace and ashamed to say I work for the Hospital!
"What is the Point!"
